512 MB Ram is really not enough for Vista and then trying to burn a CD or DVD

.. Nero 7, Vista Ultimate, 2GB DDR , and 1.92 GB DVD takes 3 min 6 sec.

I do not know what all I am working with here, LOL. I just know that I am supposed to be able to pop in a cd and burn it but gosh it takes so long I don't even want to.

My laptop is a week old, Acer Aspire 5610Z, Intel Pent. Dual Core Processor, 80G HD, DVD Super Multi Double Layer, 1GB DDR2. I don't know where to find the specifics about the rest. Does that give you anything else to work with? I had to just leave it going yesterday and it took about an hour to do about 400MB of photos.

Oh and forgot to add to the first responder that I am just highlighting photos that I would like to make a CD of, clicking BURN at the top, inserting a CD and it starts.

It will take a long time that way... if you want it faster, copy every pic/photo to a new directory... then the Burner does not have to search for every item.
then you can delete the folder.... you have close to the same Laptop I have.

I would suggest using some other burning software. <- Probably my worst suggestion ever, but I am getting tired (ruddy glandular fever)
