Steam, Used to work but dont now.

I did manage to be able to play CSS on vista before but not anymore, got vista installed yesterday, reinstalled steam and css and all is well but when i get into a game the graphics are all shagged up!

http://82.69.1.116/cs/

go to that link and you can see the screenshots i took of the mess. (Using vista's IIS 7 :d)

Anyone got any ideas as to whats gone wrong or how to fix this?

Thanks

I cant get to see your screenshots as it just times out (may be the fact that I am at work). What is the glitch? Are things odd colours? Look blurred out? Are shimmering?? At funny angles?? What is your fps like? Have you tried other games? Have you tried removing your .blob file? Have you tried dfferent resolutions?? Have you tried installing beta drivers from your g'card manufacturer? Are the graphics settings the same as before? Is it taking longer to load? Does the same thing happen inside HL2 instead of CSS? Have you tried changing the source engine compatability mode to a different DX version? Have you tried dxconfig? Does it happen on all maps? If not, which map does it happen on? Have you tried disabling HDR lighting, or color correction?

Just some of my queries.

Post back asap... I'm intruigued!!!

Ending my lunch break so havent got much for you

Have you tried switching off the desktop composition? (Ctrl+Shift+f9) Some say that helps, others say it doesnt. Generally looks like a hit and miss problem independent of both build and hardware

Hope something I have said is of use... if not repost and I will have a proper go this evening (install CSS etc) Good luck

My work net has blocks so I cant find the command. But if you right click on the game... properties, then in the command/script box type (i think) mat_dxlevel 8 (or 9 or 7 or whatever) then load the game... I think thats right
