Angry Stupid taskbar

I bought a laptop a month ago and the taskbar keep getting messed up. I'm sick of it and I would appreciate it if someone here could tell me how to fix it.

Thanks in advance.

Other then needing a better "What is wrong with the Taskbar" and how do you mess it up...or what do you want it to do or not to do.????

Welcome to VistaBabble.... please be more specific...

Look at how all those icons are on the minimized windows in the first pic and how they shifted to the start button in the 2nd pic. It just suddenly happens...is that specific enough?

Try hiding "Quick Launch" for a while, and see if things get better. Also, for a time, set the task bar not to "hide inactive icons." Maybe things will stabilize, and you can turn back on what works.

Sorry for some reason I could/did not see the pics.. I do now.
1st if ZNod's suggestion does not work... try this:
1. right click taskbar near the clock insure only quick launch is clicked.
2. close all open links in taskbar
3. right click taskbar in the quick launch and click view small icons
4. right click taskbar and click lock taskbar...
5. reboot

You are welcome. Good luck. Be sure and try what Snuffy said if what you have done doesn't work.

I would check your display drivers and upgrade as necessary also.

It happened again just now

So you're telling me to keep only Quick Launch checked, to close all windows, lock the taskbar and reboot? I don't understand step 3.
