System Reliability: How's your's?

Hi Friends:

Early on, I was experimenting with various programs and doing this, that, and the other--monkeying with 5384. So, I created some minor problems--particularly unresponsive programs and uninstalls. But, since I got everything working well and quite experimenting so much with questionable programs, everything I have installed had worked very well, and my system reliability has been improving steadily. How is your system reliability progressing? My subjective impression is that my system is quite reliable--and, I have been stressing it a fair amount.

I quess this is not a problem/bug report. It is a good reliability report.

Is that chart from Vista? I haven't seen that yet. Where do I go to dig that up?

Yep, go to Manage (computer), and open the Performance Diagnostics folder and subsequently the Monitoring Tools folder. Then, you'll see the Reliability Monitor. Enjoy.

Had to do a search for Monitoring to find it, but I did. Very cool stuff. My progression is similar. Some oopsies in the beginning (driver problems mostly), but then it smoothed out nicely.

Thanks. Maybe others will post at least their indexes so we will have some comparative reliability info. Hint!

I am dying with 5384, Wihdows Installer comes up every time I look at the screen, click an icon etc. I have no way to use windows mail because it does not do free hotmail, so you are fiorced to use wlm or a third party(better) email program, WLM flickers, and more. I hope someone out there has answers or options to some of the issues with 5384.

How about a few more specifics, especially about Windows Installer coming up? What does it say? Have you tried checking for updates (Control Panel / Security / Check for Updates)?

Alright, it appears it is for Office 2003, becase that is what the second of three install screens says. However, some of the XP programs that were on the system when I converted, no, no seperate sector, just updated to 5384, I know, stupid, I can not delete. Virtually every time I click on a program icon ... the installer comes up.
