Hello again! Earlier when i changed the desktop background from the Personalize>Desktop background - i used to see the preview of all the images there. After the reinstall of my Vista Home Premium, i don't see the preview but all the images show the same thing (the one with the blue mountain and lake!). Organize>Folder and search options>View>Files and folders> the first 2 options are not checked. ![]() |

| Have you tried changing your Vista power profile to 'Best Performance'? You could also try using CLEANMGR.EXE (just type it in the start menu search box) then select 'My Files Only' and then untick all the boxes apart from 'Thumbnails'? You could also check in 'Folder Options' that you don't have 'Always show icons, not thumbnails' ticked? Tell us which one works, if any crabby |

| Ok, i changed from best performance to best appearance - no use. I did cleanmgr.exe - no change "Always show icons, not thumbnails" (the first option) in folder options was not ticked. But this is a fluke - i checked "use checkboxes to select items" - and tada! Its working now. ![]() Thanks anyways |
