| I am running Windows Vista and an icon has appeared near the clock at the bottom right of the screen. You cannot click on it (right or left) and it. When you look at it in the Custom Notifications Icons screen, it shows where a name normally is. It is not on all the times, just periodically. I've attached a screen grab of it and I've marked it with a red error to point out the icon in question. I run a full antivirus program that scans every night, so I know it's not a virus. Any ideas? |

| Welcome harringtonce. We are glad you are hear. I have never seen it before. Could it be for a messaging program? What programs do you have installed? How about a snip of them?

| I have Windows Live Messenger and AOL's AIM. Those are the two to the right of the one in question. I'm wondering if it's Microsoft's Customer Experience Improvement Program icon. I'll have to look into it some more. Thanks |

| Ladies & Gentlemen - it is a Parental Control icon. My daughter likes to use dad's "fast" computer, so I had set them up and completely forgot about them. You would think Microsoft would at least put a tag on the icon that would denote what it is. Oh well - confusing settled. Thanks for everyone's help! |
