I have had a problem with my vaio since I got it, but am not sure if it is just part of the programming. When I start my computer, it goes straight to my desktop. I am the only user and I made myself an administrator. When I turn it on after it is asleep, it also goes straight to desktop. But I like the hibernation better, because it uses less power if it is not plugged in. When I turn it on after hybernation, it goes to user locked, not to the desktop. I hate this. I gave myself no password on purpose, but it still brings up user locked, and I have to click on the silly icon first. Is there anyway I can change it so that it goes straight to the desktop? I still don't understand why it came with an ace account too, or something like that. Any suggestions?        |

| wow, i feel dumb!!! that was too easy!!! it may seem silly, but it annoyed me a ton, and you fixed it! I am new to this forum. Honestly, my computer has worked well since I got it and vista has been fine. Which is wierd since a month before this computer, I had another viao and I got so frustrated with it that it accidently fell on hard cement and broke, leading sony to send me a new one. Anyways, despite the fact that my computer runs smoothly, is there anywhere in this forum with tips to make my computer even better and faster? |

| Glad it worked!  There are lots of posts with tweaks etc for you to do. Some are better than others and some are now obsolete (this forum has been running since early beta builds). Most are held in the http://www.vistababble.com/forums/f2/ section. But if you are lookign for a specific tweak then it's best to search or ask crabby |
