Can anyone help me with this issue thats driving me nuts. I'm pretty new to vista, so this may explain my lack of understanding on this. The thing is when I transfer files to vista from other sources (dvd's, externale drive etc) it only transfers so much and then tells me there's no more memory left to finish. But I've got about 177gigs worth of free space left on my hard drive! I then go to my user profile on my vista, and it tells me I've only got 19gigs working with my profile. Has anyone got any idea on how I can sort this issue so I can use all my gigs and not just the 19gigs that it says is available for my user profile? I want to free up and use all my available space. Please help, thanks. |

| Did you get this PC with Vista already installed or did you upgrade from Win XP? Is your HD portioned? Click Start > Computer and tell us how many HDs you have and, if you have more than one, tell us the size of each partition. |

| I have had this problem on an older computer with XP. If I tried to copy a file from a disk that was lets say over 1.5 gigs or so, it would say something similar and then not copy it. I believe the message is referring to your RAM, not your HDD space. How much ram do you have on your computer and Virtual Memory do you have on your computer? |

| I thought about RAM, but Sabre78 mentioned that windows only show "9gigs" I kind of eliminated possible RAM problems. 19GB would be too much for RAM and at the same time it would be too little for HD space. We'll never know unless we hear from Sabre78 again. |
