| am using vista home premium w/sp1 in my laptop as original. it was running well but all of sudden today i got restart and after that when loging in into ADMINISTRATOR account(which is real administrator account built in) this account i use always,,, it show me message that it is "PREPARING YOUR DESKTOP" and when computer got log in into administrator user, all desktop was changed to NEW one look,same as i log on first time and a message popup onto my taskbar that YOUR USER PROFILE WAS NOT LOADED.this is temporary profile all setting will not be saved contact to administrator... i tried to restored in 2/3 different point, after restart it shows window was unable to modify your window file settings(restore not successfull) what shall i do now ?, if my profile is not loading ??? pls help thankfull |

| Hopefully, the issue is with Windows and not your laptop hardware, though I suspect the latter; even bumping your laptop accidentally could cause issues like the one you just described. One thing you could do is to check your hard drive for errors. Right-click the HD > Select Properties > select the Tools tab > select Check Now > select “Automatically fix file system errors” and “Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors”. Hope this work.

| I know there's a way to get Vista to use the "last working configuration", but I'm not by my computer and can't remember the steps to get this done. Also, your profiles are saved to a special folder, you can load one of those profiles and maybe it will solve your issue. Perhaps someone here can help you to find the steps to accomplish either of those two steps.
