I have a brand new Toshiba laptop Computer with pre-installed Vista. In using it, I've found this glitch and don't know if I can explain it correctly but I'll try. When I click on a file on the desktop, on a item to view in this forum, on a box in excel, on an item in the task bar, or on a game piece in majong... the START MENU will pop up. I then have to move the mouse over just a bit and re-click and the correct feature will work correctly. I'm not sure how to explain it to a "windows troubleshooter" so I was searching the web when i found this site. I actually like Vista and most..... most of it's applications. This problem gets frustrating at times when I'm trying to complete a task and am going at a steady pace and then this glitch happens. It only happens on mouse clicks (touchpad is the only mouse I have used on my computer). Any input, suggestions would be appreciated.

nerver heard of this before.. you could try reinstalling the tochpad drivers... if not go to the control panel and open the mouse propoties and check all the settings

Thanks. I'll try this. Both the computer and Vista are new so it could be a problem with either one of them.
