Vista ICS with Xbox 360!

Hello there, I'm currently having some issues with my 360 connecting to Live.

I'm running Windows Vista as I have been for months and I've never had a problem with Live with Vista.

I have a USB Modem and my ISP is with Orange Uk, I use Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).

Last week I fancied a go on Socom2 so I put my cross over cable from my 360 into my PS2, I haven't played on my PS2 since january and now it couldn't read disks, probably down to a build up of dust. When I try Xbox Live now it keeps saying IP Failed.

I've tried using diferent cross over cables, I installed a new network card in my PC, I've tried every suggestion I've found on this site and off other sites such as changing the IP's and so on.

I'm at the stage now where I'm gonna re-install Vista cos I've spent around 9hours trying to solve this over the last 6days.

I've phoned my ISP they say there isn't a problem at their end, I phoned the M$ call centre in India and you all know I got no where there.

On my networks cards (One is onboard on the motherboard) it says I have Limited or no network, but it used to say this when I was able to connect to Xbox Live so I doubt it's that.

I've just done a fresh install of Vista now and the problem still persists!

Thanks for reading!

Limited or no connectivity is usually an issue So... just to get this straight... Your xbox 360 is connected to your PS2 which is connected to your PC which in turn is connected directly to the internet via a modem?

Why does your xbox need to connect through your ps2? And is there anyway you can check whether your PS2 is connecting correctly?

I also have presumed the limited/no conectivity is between your PC and PS2? If so, I will have to have a look around because I don't know how they connect to each other

Ant... if you have a xbox 360... does it just connect directly via crossover/lan cable? So could mackins just connect it directly to his PC network card? And if so... could you test out what happens when you connect yours to Vista? Does it say limited/no conectivity?
