I recently tested wireless speeds with Vista and get poor results. Windows XP Hard Wired 17.6mbps download 2.0mbps upload Windows XP Wireless and DrTCP tweak 17.0mbps download 2.0mbps upload i then installed vista on the same 2 XP computers and now i get Vista Hard Wired 17.0mbps download 2.0mbps upload Vista Wireless 9.0mbps download 2.0mbps upload and I know vista is self tweaking and you can not manually change the RWIN as in XP but its been about 2 weeks and still the same..I tried 2 diff computers and 4 diff routers...Anyone have any ideas? |

| I'm not sure but my Vista Ultimate and Vista Home Premium on Wireless have better speeds than they did on XP ... and my Vista units see other Access Points that XP never seen... this test was during Dual boot sessions setting in a motel in KC, Ks.. not moving from my room... but simply rebooting and testing download speeds...I have found this to be true at any location I have tested at.
