If its OK in safe, I still say you have a BAD DRIVER... and to install SCSI drivers, they should be installed using F6, before you install the OS. and you can find every SCSI driver that is accepted in the HCL listing... you can also verify that your Philips (is/is not) acceptable to Vista in the same listing.

you can open "MSCONFIG" and select the type of boot you want.
Normal, diagnostics or selective.
You can also remove the devices and install one .. test and see.... then install another......test... when you install #x and it craps out... WOW, you found the NASTY ONE. then continue till you have all devices working... and NO PROBLEMS.. or take to some shop and pay them 75$ @hour to do the same thing. (locally in small town Ks, USA).. they only charge $55@hour.

SCSI drivers are listed in the HCL list. and you will have to find which one works for you... MSI should also have on there site.

felix8406 I think you'll need to go to the motherboard's manufacture (MSI) website to get the SCSI controller driver.

I have a Promise SCSI and used the MAXTOR drivers. what ever works.
my bluetooth devices never worked with the manufacture drivers, but worked perfect with Toshiba Drivers. what ever works.
