| right click your desktop, click presonlize then in the task pane on the left select "Change Desktop Icon" tick the recycle bin box and apply.

| Seems that when this happens, many people's Recycle bin icons stop working. If that happens, here's a tip on how to restore it. |

thanks to all. My icon is already back. I did all the procedures specified by the fellows forum members, and still nothing, but then I noticed that the after you right click the desktop and o to Personalize, it shows a small window that had the recicle bin check box OFF. Now, I didnīt change that originally to begin with of course, but now I rechecked it, and the icon reappeared and worked well. tHANK GUYS ELBIBOP |

| I have lost it a few times myself because of my usual rush...instead of "Empty Recycle Bin", I have chosen "Delete" instead. I don't even think that it's possible to do that on XP, but I could be wrong...it's been a while now since I use it. |
