Vista requires Adm Privleges

I am signed on as "Administrator",but when I try to open a couple of programs (I've downloaded) Vista states "This software requires administrative privileges to run."
And I can run these files fine on my old Win XP
maybe something in settings I can or have changed??

Have you right clicked and use run as admin?

ok Same problem Only when I right-click there's no "run as Adm " to choose. Is it something in my security settings? I'm the only one that uses this lap-top, I am the adm. Thanks ahead

Hi Walt... it should be there, and if it isn't it's usually because your privledges are wrong. Try creating a new user and see if that user has the option. Post back!

ok for future reference: Hold "shift" key while left click and" Run as ..." comes up. [ Found info at another site]
