| Have you tried updating your sound driver? you may be using an old driver or a default microsoft version. If you know what make your card is you should find the latest driver on there website. If this doesn't work come back and we will look at other solutions Thanks, Ant

| Well, stl_v your issue is due to there being too few resources for your motherboard to distribute to the soundchip. This is most likely due to a lack of RAM or motherboard memory. You can decrease the issue by stopping any background programs etc which are running behind the program you are using. Otherwise, you can't stop it unless you dedicate resources to the chip. I don't know if you can do it with the motherboard you have mentioned, but can try and find out if the above advice doesn't help. I should also mention that the issue can be due to overheating which reduces the performance of your system. I would suggest increasing ventilation by removing the side of you case as a test. crabby |

| So to free some resourses of my motherboard I need to: - increase amount of RAM; - buy (separate) sound card. ? I will try to increase ventilation, thank you for advice. By the way I had memory loss warning for few times. And I had not such problem in XP. |

| 512MB is just the bare minimum for Vista, 1GB will make a huge difference. For what I can tell from your posts, you upgraded your PC from XP to Vista. Did you do an upgrade or a clean installed? Had you tried upgrading your motherboard's BIOS? Can you tell us how much RAM your system has? Hold on purchasing an audio card until we can figure out if that's the issue. Give us some more info about your system. |
