Vista and Symnatec

Installed Vista and all the updates. Installed Symantec antivirus version 10.1.4.4000 and I got compatibility issue so Vista blocked the driver or something like that. Microsoft has a patch called "Windows6.0-KB920143-v1-86-EN-US" which is supposed to fix this problem. When I try to run it I get error message saying that I got the wrong operative system. Has anyone out there got the same problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Have you tried using the native compatability of Vista? I hear it works a treat!

If what crabby suggests does not work, then I suggest that you use avast! It's a very good program with 5384.

It works much better now, I am not getting the irritating messages anymore.
But the Symantec auto protect is still disabled. Which means I got to do my own scanning from time to time until they give out a patch that makes it compatible with Vista.
I also have tried Avast. No comapatiblity issues. Thanks all.

Good to know. I'm glad the software companies are quickly coming up to speed on making workable updates.
