| Sorry, this is abit late. Nocdburning is one of those peculiar negative response things of which there are so many in the registry. It does not neccesarily mean what it says. Your log will always show it as it is under the seeking options in the start up sequence. Cd burning is "on" by default. If you have not interfered with it, by means of a tuning program, for example, then, in the registry, it will be a string of noughts. If it is off, then the string will have a 1 at the end. On the subject of sleep. I run ad aware manually. I have not had those problems but, when I wake up my computer, I no longer have an open connection to the Internet. I have tried different ways to stop this but in the end it needs a reboot, which makes the sleep option a bit superfluous. Anyone any ideas? Last edited by Davehc : 11-28-2006 at 02:29 PM. |

Make sure you have S3 enabled in the BIOS... when you start the computer... Some computers you press the 'delete' key to enter setup/BIOS... other computers are different... I had to do this with my computer, I have an Epox Motherboard and I have set it to "S1 & S3" and it works like a champ. What that does is it allows the computers "sleep" into the RAM, 'suspend to RAM' ![]() |

yea with XP i just had S1 setup in the BIOS, with Vista you need S3 turned on... so, I changed it to (S1 & S3) that works just fine... while you're at it you may want to look and see if your motherboard has a BIOS update.. ![]() |
