Hi Friends: I have developed a wake-up-from-sleep problem. If I put my machine to sleep for only a short while, then it wakes up normally/quickly. But, if I let it sleep for a relatively long time, then it is likely to wake up very slowly or, more frequently, not at all. Any thoughts?

| Thanks crabby. Get some rest. I tried playing with the power settings with no luck. It's almost like it goes into a coma. So, I thought that fiddling with the power settings might help--e.g., not letting the power drop too low when asleep.

| Mine was working fine until I ran Adware SE. Before I used Adware it would go to sleep and wake up normally, but after I ran Adware it developed the same issues you are experiencing. I don't think it was a coincidence. |

| Very interesting. I used Ad-Aware on my earlier Beta versions with no problem. Did you buy the "Plus" version like I did and run it? I'll try turning the new feature, Ad-Watch Monitoring, off later and see what happens. I think I'd trade waking up for the monitoring. I have had some registry events that I want to know about. I am unsure how to deal with them though. So, I usually block them. I am posting a pic below. Any thoughs anyone? Oh, and I have done deep system scanning for both Malware and Viruses. I also like Ad-Watch Monitoring because it gives me a quick pic of my running processes (i.e., the second pic below). P.S. Sorry the images are hard to read; they are as big as I can make them. You can read the first pic OK, and its the most important--the one I am wondering if anyone has any idea what's going on about.

| No I didn't get the plus version, just the free copy. It should work the same way except with the real time monitoring. I have seen many issues concerning the sleep mode on other forums and sites, so I'm sure Microsoft is aware of it. I did send a report to them this morning concerning the issue just in case. Hopefully it'll be fixed on the next release, which I can't wait to get my hands on. |

| Thanks felix, and me too. I am tired of buggy stuff. I'd like to see a program where everything is supposed to work--at least sort of.

| znod, looking at your first pic, i don't see anything there to be concerned about.

| Thanks much dazzlin. I just don't understand, for example, why something (what???) would want to delete a registry key called "NoCDRunning." And, were you able to read my pic OK? As far as I can tell, it is as big as is allowed for a gif. Would it be a problem for us to be able to post slightly larger images so the text can be read better? No big deal either way. Thanks, whatever.

| I'm allowing up to 800x600. I would think that would be big enough. Maybe if you had cropped the pic (taken some of the left hand side off where the dates/times are) it would have worked better. As for the nocdburning, it's from Microsoft, so it's probably safe. And it is in Policies, so perhaps it has something to do with allowing a user to burn a cd or not, depending on their user status. Just guessing there.
