Wifi garbled at 1 min intervals

Hi,

Does anyone know of something in Vista that could cause a wifi signal to shutoff or become garbled briefly at precisely 1 minute intervals?

I am using this device (Linksys music bridge) to stream audio wirelessly from my HP DV series laptop running Vista Home Premium to a set of speakers. The audio becomes garbled or shuts off completely for 2-3 seconds at precisely 1 minute intervals. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this, or ideas on how to track it down would be greatly appreciated.

I believe I have eliminated all other software and hardware and isolated this problem to either Vista or the HP laptop. Here is some additional information:
  • The problem does NOT occur if I connect to my router with a wire instead of wirelessly.
  • The problem does NOT occur under any circumstances if I try to stream audio from my old computer, which is a Toshiba laptop running XP.
  • The audio disruption is not dependent on the media player; I have tried three of them.
  • CPU utilization is around 20%

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks...
