In Windows Xp Pro I can Access my Windows Address Book ( wab ) File, which is on a Workstation in my Network.By using the Address Book on a remote workstation, it gives the rest of my Family Read/Write Access to the One Address Book. Now Try doing this with Vista RC2, I havent been able to yet. When I do the same as I do on XP , The Dam thing Tries to Import Those Contacts into it's own Local Contacts List. What I have done in the Past is quite simple. From any workstaion, just Create a new Shortcut and Browse through the Network to the Address Book.wab on the workstation. I can Create the Shortcut in Vista but when I Execute it , it imediately starts to Import all the Contacts details into the local Contacts List. I tried to alter it's Properties but there there is no option there to do this. I don't know whether this is a Deliberate Omission , being a Beta Copy Or Something the programers have overlooked. I have asked M$soft but they say they can't give support for a beta copy. I guess I will have to wait for the Final Release to find out. UNLES Someonelse has an Answer. |

| A good place to start, if you haven't done so, is Help and Support (Start > Help and Support). Type "address book" and it provides a lot of useful information; you might even find a solution to your issue. You can also go here http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...S/default.mspx. Good luck.
