Thanks Felix8406, I'm glad you mentioned this cause I was having the same problem with wmp and media center and I began having these problems after installing the klite codec pack. I was considering reinstalling Vista, this saved me alot of headache, why didn't I think of that? Actually I did, but I assumed Windows wouldn't allow an upgrade from ultimate to ultimate, but it does and it worked for me.
