| A few days after i got vista, on a brand new pc, i kept trying to load control panel to remove some programs yet the same message comes up everytime when vista trys to search for problems, (yet doesnt find any).. Anyhow the same message; "Windows Explora has stoped working." Then. "Windows Explora is restarting." Then refresh's the desktop. Anyone have any idea how i can get onto my control panel? Or get rid of this message? Or some how unistall some programs i dont need without using control panel? |

| Since this came with a brand new pc, I'd probably call support for the PC and have them take care of it. Should be under warranty. If you had installed it yourself, I'd think maybe it needed a fresh install, but since it came with a new PC, I'd be calling whoever I bought it from.

| Your problem is somewhat common even with the released version of Vista. My, hopefully, cure for such problems is to try a repair install of Vista--provided you have a Vista disk. The procedure should be harmless, but I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem. Back up first--as when doing any kind of install of an OS.

| run 'command prompt' as admin and type SFC /scannow to see if you have any corrupt system files... if that doesnt help go to system restore, and restore to the day before it happened... if that doesnt help put in your recovery media or vista disk and do a repair install. crabby |
