YouTube problem

(Sorry this turned out kind of long. Problem summary: I can't download anything becuase it says 'VersalSoft' (whatever that is) has expired, and I can't view about 90% of YouTube videos since getting Vista)

I just got Windows Vista along with a new computer about a month ago. I've looked online and can't find a problem that sounds like what I'm dealing with. (32-bit OS. 3.00 GHz duo core intel processor, 2 gigs of RAM, though I'm pretty sure this will have nothing to do with it)

Youtube.com has always worked for me with my old computer. I've been able to access almost any video with it. Since I got my new computer and Vista, I haven't been able to view about 90% of videos on youtube. I get an error message that says something like "We're sorry, this video is unavailable." The videos can be viewed by people to whom I send links, so it's definately a problem with my computer or OS.

Another thing which could be related, it also says 'Download' at the top left corner of the video box, whether the error message appears or the video plays. When I put the mouse over 'Download,' it says 'Download this video by VersalSoft internet download.' Since getting Vista I haven't been able to download anything, and instesad get an error message saying my trial for VersalSoft internet download has expired. I didn't even know before that downloaders are actual programs. I assumed they just came witht he OS. But I'm unable to download anything now. I've tried uninstalling VersalSoft but it doesn't seem to work. And for obvious reasons I can't download a new downloader. Does this VersalSoft downloader come with Vista automatically or did whoever set up Vista on my computer install it? The person who bought the computer for me (it was a gift) doesn't know anything about a downloader. He just knows that a guy at the store he bought it from installed Vista.

VersalSoft is a download manager and it's not part of vista. I hate these type of programs because they are poorly written and provide little options. The best way to get rid of it is with the use of a program uninstaller. You can use a program called Revo Uninstaller, which is a free-ware and works great: Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Uninstall, Remove Programs, Solve uninstall problems
