Hello,

I am very new to these forums and I have a question

Does the AOL Software work on Windows Vista.

Best Wishes
Stephen

Honestly, I don't know if it does or not since I stay away from AOL like it was the plague. But if I had to take an educated guess, I'd say it probably works fine.

I ran the Vista Upgarde Advisor and it says,

"Windows Vista drivers may not exist for the devices listed below."

WAN Miniport (ATW) America Online, Inc.

I have looked for updated drivers with no luck. I have also contacted AOL.

Any further advice?

Best Wishes,
Stephen

Maybe just waiting a bit is your best option...someone will come up with a way around it, a driver and stuff..it seems kinda ridiculous to me that you wouldnt be able to run aol

Because AOL software always messes up any computer I've ever installed it on - and it's been nearly impossible to completely remove.

Can you explain how it "messes up any computer" because I will change ISP before Vista.

Not really sure I can explain it. Just, in my experience, it adds a lot of garbage to the computer, slows it down, adds to the crashes, and then can't be completely removed.

Nearly impossible to remove - you mean it is functioning as designed??

AOL is a way of life, not a piece of software

Seriously, though, in answer to the original question, I would be very surprised if Microsoft/AOL don't ensure that they can happily co-habit by the time Vista is released, so don't worry too much about it.
