Ashampoo has a trial version that should get you going, and you are correct there is no free version. You could always IM me though.

Ultimate DVD-CD Burner: http://forums.windowsvistageeks.org/...=findpost&p=69. And, here is another possibility: http://www.download.com/Burn4Free-CD...=dl&tag=button. I have downloaded it, but have not tried it. Others say it works well.

Good deal. I am glad to hear about Burn4Free. I still haven't had time to try it.

I've been using Media Player to burn music and it has done a great job so far. The interface is not people frienndly however. Vista has many easy to use applications, but Media Player is not one of them. And what's up with hiding the trusted File command. It can be easily called back by using the Alt key, but why hide it. By the way, the Alt key works on other application as well, including IE.

So that's what brings up that blasted command. LOL You are sure correct about Media Player, and it hates my AVI video files, still having fits with them. I think it's Codec time.
Thanks for the tip Felix, you're just a store house of info. You're better than Vista's Help files. Of course I never read help, until a last resort.
