Galt. Actually the Vista help files are very interactive and user friendly. As for Media Player, it looks to me more like Real Player, too intrusive. When you run it for the first time and let it setup with its default settings, it sign you up to a music store. I've been around computers for a long time, and learned that, when possible, one should never let a program install with its defaults setting. One should customize the installation, if that option is available, and install what's needed.

Urge!

The "Urge" to kill...pun intended, and you're correct, Custom installs with an program if available is preferable, however I didn't recall that with Media Player, or at least the urge to remove the option. Sorry, couldn't resist that.
Regretfully, there is no option to remove Media Player and reinstall.

I don't do customs with many programs. But, I did with Media Player. No Urge for me.

Nero Lite

Hey all, I have downloaded and installed Nero Lite, and it works great!
As long as you have a serial number you will be ok.
Thanks for all the help Felix!
I was using Ashampoo Burning Suite 6, that was working as well with no problems. I am used to Nero, so all is good!
Thanks again!

Norotn beta for Vista has been available for a while now. Supposely, the new version works for Vista build 5700. I tried it about three weeks ago, but it had too many bugs, it worked on 5600 build however. I had not tried the new updated beta, but apparently the bugs have been taken care off, enough to allow for testing on the 5700 build.
