Couldn't find a rational place to post this, but it works well with Vista. http://www.burrrn.net/?page_id=6 As an adjunct, if you're into music as well as Lyrics try this link without the popup ads of most others. http://www.lyricwiki.org/Main_Page Burrrn does one thing well, and it does it for free, and that is burn audio files onto CDs. Burrrn knows how to decode ten different compressed audio formats, including Apple's .aac, Monkey Audio's .ape, .flac, .mp3, .ogg, and .shn. Just drag them into Burrrn's track list, and click on the big Burrrn button. Burrrn makes some default adjustments to overall track and album levels as it creates temporary wave audio files and burns them to disc, but you can dig into the program's settings to adjust these gain controls more exactly. If Burrrn turns out to your liking, the author would appreciate receiving a postcard. --Scott Spanbauer Last edited by Galt : 10-25-2006 at 07:06 PM. |

Concerning burning software, when Vista hits the store in January, it will include Sonic's CD and DVD burning technology. You’ll be able to format and burn video and slideshow to DVD, as well as burn data and audio to CD. Sonic is currently developing a Vista-certified version of Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 suite. More to come.

| That's kind of cool. I like Roxio's concepts, but the new versions of its software has always been buggy. I wouldn't reject software just because of a few bugs--as long as I could eventually get where I am trying to go.

| I guess the nice thing about it is that you may not have to go and purchase separate burning software. I'm sure other burning software providers are not going to sit still. Some of these companies are planning to follow sue, as they also want a piece of Vista.

2) Easy DVD/CD Creator works fine and installs no hassle. http://www.easydvdcdburner.com/data/index.htm With this software you can easily create and burn your own custom high-quality data DVD & CD, multisession disc and bootable DVD/CD. Features include: Create and burn ISO image file, Erase rewritable discs, Prevent bad burns and CD creation errors, Backup your Windows system and files, Testwrite function and more... 3) Ashampoo 6 does it all, and ditto to (2) They also have a free school license, and 30/40 day trial. http://www.ashampoo.com/frontend/pro...&idstring=0710 4) make sure your burner hardware is also compatible with the software, both have lists. They are both fast, reliable, and do the job without the bloat of Nero and the rest. |

Hi all I've used Deepburner free from within Vista (since RC1) to burn my ISO's. Never had any problems and the programme is quite simple and low on resource usage. Google for deepburner and try it if you like. |

| Ah, I see your are referring to EMC 3.something. I started with 4.? on XP Pro and then upgraded to 8--which was buggy even on XP Pro. So, I have stayed away from it in Vista.
