So you think the issue was with your previous CD? Do you still have it and had you tried to install it on another PC? By the way, I'm glad you have Work install.

I'm curious; why would you rather install work over other Office Suite?

I have always used the suites with work and office with home publishing and money plus streets and trips plus the suite 2006 was the 8.5 version which I finally got to install on this one system by coping all the data off the DVD to my other system and then burning a new DVD of the data and then installing on the system that was giving me the problem solving that big problem.

I see. I have never use Works, though I have acopy that came with my eMachine computer. How does Vista and Works get alone? I used money before, but it was overkill for me; too much data. I created an Excel workbook and it works great to keep my fanance straight.

If you get tired of Works, try IBM Symphony. It works great, almost like MS Office and is free.

Lotus 123 is all I need

I use Lotus-123 for all my records ... never found I needed more, and the IRS, my accountant never have problems with 123 either.

I started with it in the 80's and have simply keep up... all the SUITEs seem to be a waste of time, money, when 1 program will do everything...Also it is very easy to write your own programs in 123. When I had my Computer storage and record business... I keep all my clients records on 123 also..
