Games on vista

Well everytime I boot up I get this message that a StarForce driver is incompatible with the system and has been disabled. So I did a search and StarForce is a CD/DVD protection system used on games and apps. I looked through the list and recognized my Toca RaceDriver 2, I also have 3 but didn't see that in the list. Now my question is does anyone else have these games installed on their vista system? do they work? how do they run? I haven't tried myself and I'm hoping they work if 2 doesn't that's not a biggy but I hope that 3 does I love that one.

I dont have those games, but Starforce might have updated drivers - or if not yet, then soon. Got my fingers crossed for you. I know how I would hate being without my favorite games.

From the StarForce site

About Microsoft Windows Vista compatibility
Microsoft Beta Testers who want to play StarForce protected games under Microsoft Windows Vista Beta need to download a special driver update from:
http://www.star-force.com/support/sfdrvup.zip

The update has been tested by StarForce and Microsoft testers to work with “Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory” and other games.

StarForce drivers will be signed as soon as Microsoft launches the drivers’ digital signature program for Windows Vista.

Please visit our website for driver updates regularly or subscribe to our newsletter.
Also note that following your publishers’ news and updates may help solving compatibility issues.

Yep, sometimes we all overlook the obvious. Glad to see they have updated drivers.

One of my favorite games I am looking forward to is Vanguard:Saga of Heroes. It was being published by microsoft, and was going to be a big MS vista title, but now Microsoft dropped them... and they are their own publisher with SOE.

Anyways, I still want to see how the game plays under vista as they were testing it under vista before Microsoft dropped out.

Should play good I hope. I've heard some horror stories but then again this is a beta, by RC1 they should hopefully work all the bugs out.
