Gmail comes with approximately 2.7GB of free storage, and you can open more than one account. What many people don’t know is that one can download and application called GMail Drive, which allows the use of Gmail as a storage medium. GMail Drive adds a new drive to your Vista PC under Computer. And just like a regular hard drive, you can create folders, copy or drag files to it. You can drag a file to your GMail Drive at home, and access that file through your Gmail account from any PC that’s connected to the Internet. http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm

| The point I wanted to make is that this utility, GMail Drive, works well with Vista. How is that for an excuse? ![]()

Since Google sold out to China, and I don't like on-line services such as Gmail, Yahoo, e.t.c., to hold my email, I exclusively use my ISP mail, archive what I consider useful and encrypt it, then save it to CD. |

| Sounds like a Vista Tip to me. But, then, maybe its a Vista Addon or Application.

| It's a free way to share files with other people. Free is good.

| I meant that it seems to me your tip could have been posted legitimately under either of the headings I mentioned. I don't do much file sharing, but, when I do, I use iDisk which is part of what a .Mac membership gets you. So, what I do is not free. But, I also get webspace, storage space, and yet another email account. There are some other benefits, but they are mostly so what.
