We have Live Communication Sever 05 running at my company and all of our users are currently using Windows Messenger 5.1 setup with their SIP account on that server to use as an internal messenger app. after playing around i found that microsoft is no longer supporting windows messenger as of Vista. SO...i have to find an alternate way to get everyone setup (once we push vista out) so that they can setup their SIP account. I know trillian has a plugin for it but i believe you need the pro version to get that to work and so far when i tried it it crashes trillian whenever i try to connect. so that options out for now. can anyone help???? |

| Windows Live Messenger is being maintained. There is a Beta 8.1 currently available to Connect members.

well i did see that trillian is releasing a new version (4.0) sometime in the fall so maybe thats an option. however again, you have to upgrade to the pro version for the SIP plugin to work which probably isnt an option when we'd have to buy 100 licenses. thanks anyways |
