100%. But that's not going to happen. Other companies want a piece of the pie, and will go to court and force MS to make changes to Vista, making it more vulnerable to viruses and hackers. On the lighter side, I thought it was important for Crabby to meet his acquaintance, Mrs. Crabby Office Lady. You’ll find her at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX010778051033.aspx. ![]()

| In a sense I disagree, not with the monopoly part, but with MS sharing information about Vista’s kernel. (Actually, I believe is not the kernel itself that’s the issue, but a built-in security on Vista x64 called PatchGuard.) Anyway, the point I was trying to make is that since Microsoft built Vista, they have the right to decide who to share information with. Just because they dominate the market, doesn’t necessarily mean that they are a monopoly. Even Apple has stringers restriction with their operating system than Microsoft does. It’s all about continuous improvements and innovations. That’s one reason I like AMD; they took on Goliath (Intel), not by going to the courts, but by trying to make a better product, and are doing well for themselves. As for monopolies, I agree it’s not good for anyone, especially consumers. For years here in San Antonio, TX, we had and still have just one Cable Company to choose from. Now, that’s a monopoly.
