I am glad to know that PD is not designed to degrade performance.

Maybe MS was wrong or Raxco didn't do its job well. Thanks much for posting the reply felix. I remain strongly unconvinced that one should use PD at least for offline defragmentation. You could try your own tests so we could have some comparables.
