Hi Friends: On another site, I learned that Registry Mechanic (RM) works well on RC1. I am highly registry challenged. So, using a registry fixer is risky for me. Still, I gave RM a try. It found about 300 of what it said were registry errors. I told it to fix them, and it fixed a relatively small number--informing me that I would have to purchase/register to fix the rest. I could not find a way around this requirement so I paid $30 and it fixed the rest of my problems. Everything is working well, but I have noticed no before and after difference. Still, I feel good that many probably small problems have been fixed. Perhaps it overcame having done an upgrade. It would be interesting if someone that did a clean install tried RM. So, who is going to step up to the plate?

| I didn't know Registry Mechanic was still around. I believe the last time I used it was Version 4.0. It worked well then, but for some reason the stopped improving the software, so I used Norton instead. |
