Hi Friends: I am trying Windows Live OneCare Beta. I decided to try it because I have been wanting a program that does a good job of blocking out going. So, far it has blocked Firefox (which I allowed always) and LeakTest (which I allowed always and then disallowed). After disallowing, LeakTest again is blocked. Also, I did a quick Virus/Malware scan--which seemed to run very quickly. The control panel is very easy to work with. So, so far so good.

| I think if you want lots of settings buy a proper version of each thing that OneCare has in it... this program is for people who have no money or people who have little use for the programs it carrys, so there is no way they will give a fully functional set of programs... that costs lots of money! crabby |

| I'll leave it install on my laptop for now and see. It expires six months from now, so there's time for improvements. But I agree with Crabby, there too many utilities built in, which are built in Vista as well. The HD clean-up utility for one.

| Guys, but it has an apparently good firewall for out going, and presumably decent AV protection with Malware protection thrown in. Backup may be better than what's in Vista. I will be trying it soon. And, yes, the tune-up function is pretty much a waste. It's easy to ignore though.

| I'd say it would be great if it; 1)Was more customizeable 2)Came WITH vista - with no overlapping software 3)Took up very few resources and 4)Gave free money when it found no errors I didn't really have an issue with the interface and once I told it to shut up it wasn't interfering with me in anyway, but I figure I do it's job anyway so there is no need for it.
