Well it seems like Bill will be stepping down as Chairman of Microsoft in July 2008. He sent out an E-mail to Microsoft employees (shout-out to W Hargh's mother!), following up on an e-mail sent out by Steve Ballmer. | Can't blame the guy, and at least he's going to be doing something worth while. And who knows, maybe some new blood will make a big difference.

| Yeah I wonder what will happen. As mentioned, Ballmer has been running the operations for a while now, so I don't think there will be any impact on the day-to-day business for some time. I just wonder if the roads and pursuits of the company down the road change drastically with Bill focused elsewhere. He is still relatively young, so he could come back and right the ship if something went astray. |
