| Hmm, Smart capable, you can try enabling it from your Graphics Card settings, if it could be enabled and disabled there, 60% chance im wrong. Joseph

| Your motherboard’s BIOS may not support the S.M.A.R.T. or Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology feature, but I don’t think that’s necessary a problem. When the feature is available in BIOS and enabled, the BIOS do a post check. If there’s an issue, it gives you a warning that something is not right before it loads the OS. It helps, but you don’t want to wait to turn your PC on just to find out that your HD took a dive. The best way to monitor the hard drive is through the use of software, which you might be able to download from the hard drive manufacture. The program uses the HD S.M.A.R.T. feature to monitor and warn you about any issues before it crash. |

| hmm in that case its disabled... right then... somtimes you have to download a program from the HDD'S makers website that usaly runs in dos (stick it on a floopy or a cd and boot from it) and you can enable SMART that way. thats how i had to do it with my old WD drive i had a few years back |

| As Felix said... you motherboard doesnt support S.M.A.R.T devices. If there is a bios upgrade for your board, that might help. But I really doubt they would have added that functionality. crabby |
