Just to let u guys know if ur wondering were Frontpage has gone on the office 2007 BETA 2, Microsoft has ditched it and made a new more up to date product called Expression Web Designer it uses better syntex and uses modern web standards such as CSS and XHTML. Hopefully it will be a massive improvement on Frontpage and hopefully it will be as good as dreamweaver and all the other big guns. Thing is its not going to be part of the office suite and more so its gonna be a hole separate product. But the product comes a a series with two other separate apps for Graphic design and interactive design looking pretty cool to be honest...... You can download BETA 1 of the products for free and yes guys...it is VISTA compatible! Id love to know if theres anyone who also does web design on the forum and what they think of Microsoft's New web design product |

| I'll have to give it a try one of these days. I HATE Frontpage, but that doesn't mean I'll hate this new one.

| Hi Anthony. I do my own Web designing at a very basic level. I was offered the program quite some time ago by MS for BEta testing. At my basic level I have not been able to find any outstanding differences with the new program. I am sure for the expert it offers quite a lot more. |

| I see were your coming from Dave, basicly this is an updated version of frontpage, For years websites have been designed in HTML (a programming language) frontpage has been going for 10 years using the HTML language, now a days theres new standards that you can use for your website, Using these standards can help u do some pritty amazing stuff with your website. They include CSS and XHTML. Heres a discription of them below http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascading_Style_Sheets http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XHTML I hope that helps, im not realy good at explaining things but at the most basic level its just frontpage keeping up with the times Last edited by ProCookie : 10-17-2006 at 11:22 AM. |
