Is there a way to display the Calendar permenanatly on top right hand corner of my screen ? Do I have to download Java in order to play Yahoo online games or Does Vista have its own Applet ? I am not so keen on Windows defender..can I uninstall-disable it as I have my own Antispam Duplicate files..the horror of Windows ! Does Vista recognise and delate them outomatically? As I live alone and am the sole user of my pc..which unnecessary controls can I disable ? Is it possible to install and use "Norton Goback" instead of Vista Restore(disable it ) ? Thank you for your help |

| Calendar - Start > Accsesories > Sidebar. Once open right click on it and go to add gadgets and add the calendar. you can also make the sidebar stay ontop of all windows. Yes you will have to download java BUT go to https://sdlc3a.sun.com/ECom/EComActi...386FEFE73847B9 to get version 6 do not get verson 5 from java.com Yes you can turn off windows defender. Start > Right Click Computer > Mange > Services > Windows Defender > Right Click > Propoties and set to disabled and also click on stop. Duplicate Files... Dont think so no Look through the services again (where you disabled windows defender) and read the info on the services and disable the ones you dont use/need but be carefull! And as for norton goback... i dont know if its compatible with vista yet.. but the system restore in vista is better than it was in xp. Hope that helps you out |
