When I download images straight from my camera into my new pc with vista home premium, as soon as I start to work on the images in cs2, the whole lot freezes and tells me the icc profile is not valid. As both my camera and cs2 are set to Adobe 1998 I cannot understand this, so what I have had to resort to is to download images into my old pc with xp and then transfer them into the new one where they behave correctly. This is driving me round the bend and is eating up my relatively small hard drive on the old pc, and defeats the purpose of the new one as I end up working the images on the old one. I am a student studying photography and the new pc was supposed to make my life easier, not to dement me- help please!

Adobe's Creative Suite 2 products can run on Windows Vista but may have some performance problems. Photoshop CS2 may require users to register the software each time it's launched on a Vista PC. Dreamweaver 8, Adobe has said, will crash on some Vista computers when users browse for files. InDesign customers may get a false error message indicating they don't have enough available disk space to run the product.

Adobe recommends you upgrade to CS3..

Adobe's decision isn't sitting well with some users of the current versions of its products, who will have to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade to CS3 if they want apps that are fully Vista compatible.
