When you received an email in Windows Mail, or another email client, and click a link, nothing happens. This could be caused by a previous browser being registered as the default browser, though that browser has been uninstalled from your PC. To remedy this do the following: 1. Exit your email client 2. Open Internet explorer 3. Select Tools 4. Internet options 5. Programs tab 6. Make sure the ‘Tell me if Internet Explore is not the default web browser’ is checked 7. Exit and restart IE |

| Hmmm intresting thanks Felix, Here is another one. If you have edited a picture or file and you have found that you have made a mistake all is not lost you can get your old documents back! Windows Vista introduces a new feature called Previous Versions. This allows you to roll back the clock to an earlier version of a file that you may have accidentally saved over or edited. While selecting the document, choose the Previous Versions option on the command bar, which will bring up a list of previously saved versions of the individual file.

| Yes, you are right, the PDF file needs to be revised and updated. Some info does not apply to the final version of Vista and there has been changes to the OS, IE7, etc. I'll work on it if there's a need and a demand from members. I'm open to ideas, suggestions or opinions. http://www.vistababble.com/downloads...other-tips.pdf |

| This tip is a condensed version from Windows Vista Top 10 Tips and Tricks http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...and_tricks.pdf Share a folder or file directly from your PC: With Vista you can share folders and files with other user on the same network. From any explorer, select a file or folder and on the command bar select Share. Enter the name of other users and give them appropriate rights of access—reader, co-owner, etc. Vista can automatically compose an e-mail to the users with a hyperlink to the shared information. |

| I began the process of revising the PDF file "Short Cuts and Other Tips". If possible, I would like the help of volunteers to collaborate with this task. I have saved the file using Google's Docs and Spreadsheet, as it's an excellent way to share and collaborate. In order for collaborators to collaborate in this collaboration, I'll need the email address of those collaborators wishing to collaborate in the collaboration. As the author collaborator, I'll gather the collaborator's collaboration and update the collaborated document with the collaborated information. (How about that tongue twister). By the way, you can send me your email through a PM. I'll make sure your email is use solely for the purpose of completing the PDF document. Last edited by felix8406 : 07-08-2007 at 11:56 AM. |
