| Don't you hate it when sometimes IE7 won't load a page, but also, won't let you exit or open another tab? It just get stuck and don't let you do anything until it has either completed the process or until you use Task Manager to shut it off. Google Chrome is supposed to handle that differently, though it still uses a Task manager. In Chrome, if a webpage doesn't load up correctly, you can use the task manager to end the process for that specific tab, which allow you to keep browsing without exiting the browser. Just select the webpage, click the Page Control icon (upper-right side), click Developer, then Task manger. Click the Tab you want to close and then select End Process. Note that from Task Manager you can get information about memory usage, the amount of CPU used, and bytes sent and received. Click the Stats for nerds link at the bottom of the Task Manager to get some nifty information, including memory detail if you have other browsers open.

What you guys think; will Chrome knockoff Firefox, like IE did to Netscape? I see a big possibility. It would be much difficult to knockoff IE7 because of Windows, but Firefox is a standalone application and can be replaced by any browser, including Google Chrome.

| It's all about presence! I'd also go as far to say as most firefox users are people who like to try different things, so if chrome makes a good impression on people who are casually 'having a look' then firefox could really lose ground. crabby |

| I agree the name will sell this product more than anything, Microsoft has the upper hand in one sense because of Windows itself. Having said that Google has an advantage because of its name, reputation and its user base. As much as i love Microsoft i would love to see Google win this one because its by far a better browser in my opinion.

| What I'd like to see is scale back version of Vista, with nothing but just the OS (core instructions) and then add the applications that I want. I can say I liked Firefox, because, in my opinion, IE7 has better options. But I like Chrome over Firefox and IE7 due to its simplicity...and I like simplicity. To me, Vista's applications are just an overkilled. They've gotten too big for Microsoft's convenient, but not necessarily to help the user. Chrome has in a way addressed that issue and, at least for now, gets my vote.

| Even the core of Win XP Professional would do, and if it's the 64Bit version, even better. I looked at Vista applications like Media Player, IE7, etc., and though I agree that they are excellent applications, for the most part they are just monsters. That also opens loopholes that have to be patched after users had already applied additional patches. Why I would like from Microsoft is to sell me the OS without all its application, just the bare-necessities needed for it to install on a PC, then I will download and install the applications I need or want.

| Thats not a bad idea, what they could do is make a core version for a lot cheaper and charge for the additional programs that you require. That way your not paying for features you don't need, just the ones that you feel essential. Would be a better deal for everyone and it would rapidly cut the cost of buying a new PC with windows pre-installed.

Chrome Incognito Mode let you browse the internet in a stealth mode. The webpage that you browse using this mode won’t be logged in the browser or download history. To search in Incognito Mode simply open Google Chrome, go to Control the current page and select New incognito window. Note that websites you visit can still keep records of your browsing and saved files will not be automatically deleted. Also, if you click a link on a page you are browsing in incognito node, the new opened page history will be recorded. If you want to make sure that nothing is recorded, you can use the Pause history feature using your Gmail account. If you don’t have a Gmail account, Chrome will give the opportunity to open one. To pause History: Open Google Chrome, click Customize and control Google Chrome (Tool Icon upper right-side), click History and then click Web History link, left pane. Sign in to your Gmail account and then click the Pause link on the left pane.
