It's also convenient if you are using a friend's computer, or working on someone's PC.

I'm late to the party but I usually have a dozen tabs open at once. I'm always the last person on the new technology train but I've been hearing so many good things about Chrome, it's damned tempting.

I would recommend giving it a try, its appeals to a much wider audience than just technology enthusiasts because of its simplicity.

However i wouldn't use it for your full time browser at the moment as its still in Beta, so you could experience bugs for time to time.

I just reported a bug where Chrome web server cannot be accessed when checking for browser's updates and Vista is running under the Administration account.

Just rceived this response about Chrome Update server issue:

In future versions, Chrome will allow you to update even if UAC is disabled, as long as you have Vista SP1 installed.

However, that doesn't explain Error 3. That is because Chrome is a per-user installation. We don't make guarantees that it works if you switch users and run the software installed by the other user. Furthermore, we recommend against running Chrome as admin; from a security standpoint you are safer running a browser from the standard account.

So according to that answer, as of now, I cannot update Chrome unless I'm running the PC through a Standard account and with UAC enable. As for per-user installation, I think they should provide the option, as many software do, to allow to install Chrome for all users of the PC and let administrators decide who should install software and for what users.

Had you tried this link:Developers and Webmasters - Google Chrome Help Center. Also, type aboutlugins in address bar to view installed and active plug-ins.

Disregard the happy face when using about plug in. P + : gives you that face. Just type About + : + plugins.
