Question Help! Browser issue.

OK, here's the story...

Got a new Emachines computer with Vista on it. I just started a new job and have to train online. I open my the training sign in window and it opens fine and I can sign in fine. After hitting start training, another window pops up which automatically opens a third window. The third window opens but unless I turn my anti-virus completly off (disabling features doesn't work) it does not display the training, it says failure to launch.

I called my works customer support and they said its something with my anti-virus. I called the place where I got my anti-virus (TrendMicro) and they said its probably a problem with Vista.

Again, I can get into it just fine as long as I completly exit my anti-virus, but I'm hoping there is a setting I can change as I don't feel comfortable being online without the anti-virus.

I have set me IE 7 to always allow my works websites, certificates etc. I also set up the anti-virus to do the same. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dump your antivirus program and install one that doesn't conflict. I'd try either AVG or Avast. (both are free)

Oh, and

Conflict?

Would it cause a conflict if I downloaded the AVG or Avast, and kept it turned off except for when I'm training, and turn off my other antivirus during that time? As I just paid for the other a month ago, don't really want to lose that money. Thanks.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I *think* that would work, but I haven't tried it.

Installing two anti-virus programs is not recommended, it can create many problems. The two anti-virus recommended by Dazzlin are free and excellent programs.
