| Nice score DaBear, i wish we could get cable in our area they have insane speeds of up to 20meg! plus u get a TV subscription and a phone line....come on Virgin Media expand you network!!!

![]() This is probably a more accurate reading -- the other is to Bangor , Maine , which is a new server (on-line last week) and only 50 miles away. Normally, a test to NYC is better. Cable is ok -- I use it for internet plus basic service for TV. I also have DirectTV which is great (over 250 channels) and tons of sports. Regarding download/upload speeds -- Maine would be (in the overall scheme of things) a bit slow. The infrastructure in this area is old and while it is being upgraded its a slow process and not the best business investment ( low population density). Other areas are running 15 + megs down -- the big gripe over here is upload speeds .

| This is the result of my wireless speed through my Netgear 52mbit/s router and the one below is my wired speed. Wireless ![]() Wired ![]() I'm a bit disappointed with my wired result, with my 20mb connection I expected alot more than that.
