Hey all. Curious as to how many processes you have running when Vista boots up for you? I have 53 and am wondering what the benchmark might be... |

| I have 63 running on my laptop right now. Not sure about my desktop at this time.

| Ive got 46 on my desktop after starting all my programs (antivirus, msn, nero etc). 35 on standard boot up.

| Thanks for the replies thus far. My Ultimate runs quite fast, but I haven't really loaded too much on it yet. I have 4gb RAM (found out post-purchase that 32 bit windows sees only 2 - 3 1/2 gb I am wondering if it may be worthwhile to try to trim some of the fat and get the processes down a bit. My XP Home system runs with appx 35 at start-up. |

| 53 shown for all users in Vista Business and on my Windows XP CUV266 P-3 coppermine 1 gig system has 34 running.

| 59 processes here. At first I thought this would effect gaming but I have not noticed any slowdown in a couple of games I play (COD2 and Quake4) though I do turn off Autoprotect in Norton before I play them.
