Nice upgrade is it running cool and what cooler are you using if stock they have had issues with to much thermal compound on the stock heat sink fan set up. Reinstall with AS5 and the overheating problem goes away.

Well I'm using the stock cooler for now. I scraped off or rather dissolved off the thermal compound that came with the stock cooler and replaced it with some Akasa silver based thermal compound.

I build two different systems one with the 6750 and the other with the 6850 C2D with the P5K Asus Motherboard and Antec P-182 Gun Metal Case they are crisp and fast also just ordered an AMD 5000+ Black Edition to put on my M2nSLI Deluxe board to replace the 4000+ currently being used there which will pep that one up quite a bit. I used on both of the C2D the Zalman 9500 or the 9700 and the chip runs cool as a cucumber. The are a little pricey but worth the money.

Yep. And the thing is, I was expecting a Windows reinstall based on past exp of going from one AMD64 chip to another. This time all Windows did was install the drivers for the new CPU. I still had the old E2140 drivers installed so I unistalled those, et voila, I had the 4 fully functioning cores of the X3210.

I have found Vista a little better in handling changes. I have changed cpu's and even motherboards with Vista without any reinstalls, but with XP have had to do reinstalls a couple of times, with hardware changes, but I think I got luck with one repair. Glad to see your new chip is working great. It still amazes me how much stuff you can do at one time with these dual and quad core cpu's compared to the old P-4 which were fast in the day.
