Has anybody managed to get a local web testing server going on Vista...i have tried Coldfusion and had no luck and i have also tried SQL Server 2005 and they both don't work...anybody know if the others work on vista because quite frankly i have had enough of installing and tweaking and still having no output. Thanks Ant

I am very ignorant on what you are talking about. Is what your are trying to get working pertinent only if one has a server?

| No Znod, its a local server basically when creating dynamic websites, you can set up a test server on your computer, its sort of like a mini Internet on your home computer but it only has your sites. Its for teasing purposes and when you are happy with your results then you upload to the web. No extra hardware is required just the right software.

| Ant: It appears that you have the web server included with Vista up and running? If so, have you had a chance to identify the web features it supports. I tried to find some docs on it but didn't have any luck. I just ordered Adobe's Creative Suite 3 Web Premium package (which now supports Vista) and I would also like to use the web server in Vista. Any info or point in the right direction would be appreciated. ![]() |
