| If your computer like goes nuts for example, it keeps on freezing, and crashing, and you attempt to erase Vista from your HDD, and you do, using a WIndows XP CD, will you be able to install XP again, and upgrade from XP to Vista, with your same Vista Upgrade version? Joseph, yea

| I have not actually "tried" everything you mention. Still, one question in my mind is whether are using the same XP that you upgraded from in the first place. If not, then there is no doubt that you can do what you want. If so, then, theoretically, your XP key is no good any more. But, one way or anther I am sure that MS would allow you to reinstall your Vista. There are a variety of approaches that MS might approve for you to use.

| You can do a clean install with an upgrade version. But, after doing so, you are not supposed to use your XP OS again. If you simply upgrade, then supposedly your XP key is actually invalidated.
